Issued by Halal Europe, an approved member of the World Halal Council. We wrote to Halal Europe directly and asked them to confirm it. On 21 July 2026 they confirmed in writing that this certificate is genuine, valid and currently in force. We send a copy to anyone who asks.

The animal
Slaughtered by a Muslim slaughterman, facing the qibla, with the tasmiyah pronounced over each animal. Every animal, every time.
The facility
Certified by Halal Europe against their halal standard. Dedicated halal lines. No pork crosses the floor. No alcohol in any curing brine.
Not a one-time stamp
The facility is audited on a recurring basis, not only on the day the certificate was first issued. Certification that is never re-checked is not certification.
Then Uppsala
Nothing is made or packed here. Every pouch is filled and sealed at our production partner in Europe. Uppsala is the last step only - your order leaves from us.
The part most brands skip
Does your standard allow stunning?
Yes, and we would rather say it plainly than let you find out later. Halal Europe's standard permits controlled, reversible stunning: the animal must still be alive when it is slaughtered, and death must come from the slaughter itself, not from the stun. This is the norm for halal-certified beef across Europe, and it is the standard our facility is certified against - one recognised by the World Halal Council. The slaughter is still performed by a Muslim slaughterman with the tasmiyah, facing the qibla. Scholars differ on reversible stunning. We are not going to pretend that debate does not exist, or hide which side of it our beef sits on. If it is a red line for you, we would rather you knew before you bought than after.
